In edh, make Karona your commander. Vow him and equip hexproof so no one else can vow or kill him. Any vow will do. Sit back and let ur opponents kill each other with ur buffed commander. I think i might make a deck around this.

Sit back and watch. I think i'd included something that makes him attack if i was making a deck

They still have a 10/10 blocker. How are you going to kill them?

Umm, no...
EACH PLAYER gains control of him ON THEIR UPKEEP. He's never available to block.

unless upkeep is skipped, or some other card is used, but really, why would you ever have the false god as your commander?

Why? Why not? It's Fun. He's vowed and hexproofed so he can't attack me and my opponents have trouble messing with him. Now, while i may be the one that put the card in play, i'm not the one attacking with him. So i'm not the antagonist. Who ever is controlling him is. They are the one's choosing the targets.

Skipping upkeep cards are rare and even rarer in EDH; so that's not a big threat. SOmething to force him to attack should be included. He's the commander for repeatablity and because he then does commander damage. So you only need to do 21 points instead of 40. I made a 10/10 OR BIGGER commander that every player in the game gets to attack with on their turn, can't attack me; and did it with 3 cards. I guess i'm the only person that finds that amusing. Tough crowd.

1. If an opponent destroys the vow you basically give them a 7/7 attacker,
2. they have the option to sac karona to something costing you 2 cards
3. Karona gains hexproof, which means when she is controlled by another you are an opponent limiting your options to force the attack and increasing the options of what they can do with her. It wouldn't be unheard of for an opponent to demystify the vow give here double strike and attack you then sac her

Yeah, I can see how this could be fun, but there are an awful lot of sac engines running around in EDH. Even more in Commander. On the plus side, he's a 5 color commander and that just reeks of splashable ftw cards.

You should give it lightning greaves or something else to give it shroud. Then the person controlling it couldn't target it either.

@ Ger, Yes, people can break it. That's pretty much true about EVERY combo so i don't really see that as a good reason not to do something. I have the rest of my deck to defend it if i choose to. If i don't feel i can defend it well, then i don't do it.

@ Aero, the reason i chose hexproof over shroud was so the controller COULD target it. People r going to consider breaking it but since commander is a political game, giving some one the option to vow it themselves continues the combo, make him less of a threat to sac, and makes him bigger.

You could do both at some point and i prolly would. It's kinda like letting a Shark loose in a swimming pool. If your standing on the ladder your safe and if you let other ppl try and get on the ladder with you those ppl are just glad you let them get on the ladder. If you try and pull the ladder out of the pool, those ppl may decide to pull you INTO the pool with the shark for being an @$$.

I was thinking a modified political puppets deck with this as the commander, all those "Don't attack me cards". The one that make you pay extra mana to attack. Plus counter spells; disenchants, bounce cards, etc. That way most of the deck is defensive and even if your commander is the one killing everyone your not doing the attacking.
